Well, if you didn’t make it to Jean Ellen’s party on the 15th, you missed quite the event! We had a full house and it was clearly evident how much of an impact Jean Ellen Schulman has had on the Shoals community…and that her teachings and wisdom have impacted communities around the world! We are so blessed to have her as part of congregation and it was such a delight to get to celebrate her 90th birthday at our Temple! Thank you, Howard Zeff and other volunteers for making everything look beautiful before, during and after!
Cemetery Signs Look Like New
If you are like me, you don’t make frequent visits to the Jewish cemetary over in Sheffield but…if you do, you will notice how nice the signs are looking! Many thanks to Kerry Shapiro for all his hard work at cleaning and repairing the signs and the posts/frames for the signs. This was no easy task in that the posts needed to have the old (peeling) paint removed and then repainted and the signs themselves where looking really dirty and old. Kerry used his tools and talents – not to mention good ole “elbow grease” to get this work done and we all own him a BIG THANK YOU!
