Well…I am assuming we will have safer weather conditions this Friday and it will be nice to get back together! It feels like forever since I have been able to join you all for services so I’m really looking forward to getting back there this week!  I apologize for the last-minute cancelation of services last week but, hopefully, if you didn’t get my message you either got the word from someone else or you made the wise decision to stay home on your own.  According to the Weather Channel, this Friday it might rain but should be relatively warm so I think we can safely say…we are back on track for services!

Officer Nominations

Many thanks to Dick Peshkin, Erwin Coleman and Shelley Wolf for serving as the nominating committee for this years slate of Board Officers.  A letter to the President, noting all nominations, has been placed on the bulletin board, at the Temple, as is required by our Constitution.  Please note that, if you would like to nominate someone that is not on the slate as presented, Dick has shared the steps you need to take to do so.

Annual Congregational Meeting

I have been working on an agenda for the Annual Meeting as I want to have a chance to review with all of you all the work that was done in 2016. It was a busy year and our Committee Chairs and their members have really been spectacular!  So, while we will have a few things to vote on (Officers/Board and the Bylaws), we will also share 1) 2016 accomplishments; 2) items on the Board “to do” list for 2017; and 3) information about the possibility of having the Temple designated as a National Historic Landmark and the responsibilities associated with that. It will be a busy meeting so please make every effort to be there on time (or even early) so that we can start promptly at 10:00am.  As a reminder, the meeting will held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 10:00am, at the Temple.  Please be sure this critical meeting is on your calendar!

If you are aware of something in the community that you would like me to draw some attention to in my message, please let me know! And, as always, if you have any announcements you would like for me to share with our membership, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing you this Friday evening!

Shalom!
